Hell-o there:) I am Candice, a sweet sarcastic chick born in Cali, but lived most of my life in CT. Growing up in a nice rural town has its good points, but not the best for an artist. I was lucky enough to attend art college in nyc and live there for three years. It opened up my mind to a lot of new people and experiences that I will never forget. Being in nyc is a breath of fresh air for me because there is always something going on and crazyness all around. A perfect home for Sugar & Spikes! I have had 3 art shows there and hope to have some more. Creating art gives me a chance to get out my feelings on a piece of paper without words, and helps me escape real life for awhile. Many of my pieces do not have any real deep meaning, i just like to make pretty pictures that give glimpses of whats i see inside my mind and heart. When i am not drawing, I am taking pictures of anything and everything, loving my 3 doggies, checking out movies, dancing and doing anything active. Music is also a huge part of me...the world without music would be a miserable place to live. I LOVE METAL!! concerts, head banging, slam dancing and just rocking out and screaming to live music. i feel that i bring a little bit of the horns to Sugar & Spikes.

Being a part of this group of multi talented women is fantastic and allows me to introduce people to new bands and different kinds of art and fashion. It also educates me in different things and learn about the different talents that the other girls have. It is fun and i am getting to do things i never thought i would do, like be on stage and be apart of fashion shows with fabulous designers and just be around really awesome people. I have done some of the artwork for flyers for Sugar and Spike events, which rocks because it challenges me to do different subject matters and gets my work out there and seen. I hope to continue to be succesful in getting our name out there and letting people know that women in rock freakin rule.
